CREATING THE DISEASE: 6,7 and 8 by Juhani

As i'm writing this i wanna tell you that i'm full of ham, turkey, chocolate, liver-box(?) and all other christmas-yam-yams... I love christmas!

...But anyway during last week there was not that much of blog-updates coming from the studio because believe it or not i had to work instead of just spectate and watch while the others work. From Monday to Wednesday me and Kride usually woke up in 12pm and then we started to warm up and lets say in 2pm we started to actually record guitars and somewhere in 2AM we usually decided to stop and go to sleep. I decided to record the guitars by myself instead of some engineer because it's easier AND cheaper to do it that way. And i don't do mistakes in my playing and neither in my life so i just press the record button and play the song and then press STOP... Simple!

The guitar-sessions went prett-hyyyyy damn smooth. My new Dean Eric Peterson V played perfect and it's by far the best non-floydrose guitar that i have ever touched. Seriously, try the damn axe! Uncle Eric knows the best...

About the gear that we used:

Guitars:
So i used my Dean Eric Peterson V and Kride used his FGW Custom Shop Les Pauls. Tokai Les Paul was used, but for one song only. The guitars were tuned to D#, except the Tokai was in D. The pickups were EMG 81 for the Dean V and Seymour Duncan Invaders for the Les Pauls. We didn't use the neck-pickups.



Amp-section was Mesa Single Rectifier+Behringer Tube Overdrive almost all the way. We used a little bit of Krides Peavey 5150 for some of the BIG chorus-parts. The Behringer Tube Overdrive was pretty weird! The pedal costs like 20€ or something and still it kicked almost the living shit out of our Boss SD-1, Ibanez TubeScreamer and few custom OD-pedals that we tried.

The Cab was ENGL 4x12 with Vintage 30's, mic'd with Shure SM57 and SM58. Basic shit...

Our aim was just to get a really punchy and simple rock'n roll tone that doesnt need a second tone to add something that is missing from the main tone. I think we succeeded! Though I was a little dissapointed that i didn't had the change to try out the new Dean Dime-amp for these sessions cause the amps delivery schedule got delayed a little bit. But maybe next time!





So we nailed the songs in 2 days, and the 3rd day we spent on recording lots of different strange noises that we could get out of from our guitars... And we did some "fattening" parts for the chorus-sections also. After that we left the D-studio's and headed back to home to spent some Christmas-time with our loved ones. Next week: BASS. CREATING THE DISEASE: DAY 7

So far everything has still gone quite smoothly, if you don't mind some new song arrangments to every song and serious mind games to talk Juhani out of his own composings...

6 songs are ready with rhythm-guitars so far and Juhani is now recording the shreds for "Vitunnopee2" = "Fuckingfast2". Rest of the rhythm guitars are recorded towards the night and finished tomorrow. Then we leave for some christmas-goofing and come back again on Saturday and Sunday.

CREATING THE DISEASE: DAY 4

This is Ere speaking.

I don't know what the guys have been doing here all day long, but at least they had something on the tape when I got here again today.

First, of course, we went to grab some shit from the local Ass-market, because Jew-Honey had some serious shaking going on. Maybe because he had eaten all the candy I brought on Tuesday and the sugar levels had dropped to the critical levels. Critical note: As I'm writing this, he's eating two different candies with other hand and some cheesy-poofs with another. Looking happy thought, that's the main point, huh?

Anyways, I just listened what they have gotten on tape with drums so far and I have to say they sound pretty damn good even without proper mixing yet. Tomorrow guys are going to record couple of more songs with the drums and then it's editing time for the rest of the day.

After that next one in line: Guitars, guitars and more guitars: from 21st December to 23rd December. Can't wait couple of more weeks to get on with the bass-recordings, as it starts on 26th December. Looking forward to that date like a crazy.

CREATING THE DISEASE: DAY 3

Wake up call: 11am or something.

We wake up, we take the morning dump, some of us smokes few cigarettes and drink coffee, some of us eat candys for breakfast... and then we are good to go! I play more guide-guitars for Mohkis to play along and after that we are ready to start record more drums. We record 2 songs today. One being the album opener and the second one being a song titled "ForbidNeverAmoralli". Nothing special going on with the recording process of those two tracks... Some tweaking with few fills and beats and then they are done.

Oh, and 8ball Makipaa was suffering from some alcohol-related strange disease so he could not join with us today... He will be probably here tomorrow though.

So only 2 songs left and the intro-track! What the hell are we gonna do on Friday? Oh yeah, edit the drums... "this bass drum goes here, this one here...."

After the drums were recorded we got so bored that we started to play with the food... We took Blairs Ultra Death-sauce and Blairs Habanero XXX Death Rains and combined those two and then we suffered... Or some of us did. Our asses are still ok but i'm pretty afraid of what's gonna happen during the night when all the chili-demons will start to party in my stomach...

Mohkis left the studio-building in the same time as the crew but me and Kride decided to stay at the HQ and head to the local flea-market to search something cool... Didn't find anything really. End of the story.BANNED At some point during the evening we started to jam some classic metal tunes with me playing the drums and kride playing the guitar and vice versa... I think tomorrow morning when Mohkis will arrive to the studio he will like the fact that me and Kride have been beating the shit out of his brand new cymbals... PSYCHE.

After the jamming i decided to CLOSE THE GATES and head to the bed...J

Today was the day when we got to sleep till 10AM because the studio crew was doing some editing with the last night drum takes. Searching the best bits, little fuck ups maybe etc... A noise of a drumming woke me up and it appeared that Mohkis has already started to record Felix Culpa. Actually i was still taking my morning dump while he was finished with the song already... Fast guy! We raised the tempo a little bit so the song is now few notches faster than the demo-version.
After Felix Culpa, Mohkis started to record a song which is titled "AmoralicSilverKing". He nailed the song pretty fast and after that we decided to take a break AND our drum-producer "8ball" Makipaa arrived to the (HKI)scene.


StudioCrew started to work the drum tracks and we decided to head to the city of Klaukkala and give a finger to the healthy food and seek some fat&carb-fueled shieeeet. We went to the City Market to get some Blairs Death Rain XXX Chips + other important groceries... And of course then we found Rolls-burger and ate some shitty burgers and headed back to the studio where CREW was almost ready to take the next song in...


Mohkis started to track a song titled "Opium2"(working title) and he managed to nail that song to the "tape" pretty fast too. We tried few different arrangements in the end of the song. But hey, we are not having any problems with the recording process yet, what??? This is getting really scary...


After Mohkis nailed "Opium2" StudioJ-ws left home... And Ere arrived into the scene. And oh boy, oh boy i was so happy when i saw what was in those plastic bags that he was carrying...
so WE started to eat like pigs and watch Nightmare On Elmstreet I, II and III... No booze around, no beer around, no drugs, no problems on getting the songs into the tape because of what-happened-last-night, no fights, watching horror flicks and eating candy... Whaaaat? What is this pussy ass shit? Tomorrow we are definitely gonna start to look for some blow, nasty old whores and start to wreck the studio! ...Though theres still 4 Freddys to watch and a crate of candys... But yeah Mohkis is now sleeping and me and Kride are watching some crappy Vampire TV-series and i have a feeling that i'm gonna go to bed soon.

Tomorrow we are gonna record 2 songs and the intro. So lets see if tomorrow is gonna be a little more exciting day than this day was... Phhhhhh

CREATING THE DISEASE: DAY 1

Ok, so we woke up something like 8:30AM(except for Kride...) and when we got up, the studio crew was already working Mohkis-Timos drums...

It was nice again to see Jassi, the guy how worked with us on our first album 'The Grand Karoshi'. I think that there has not been that many customers after us in the D-Studio if you look how much Jassi has lost weight in these 2 years that have passed since we last saw him... But we are gonna fix that problem and give the man few euros so he can eat!

We had some problems with the new drum skins(EVANS EC 2)... Well Jassi had some problems with them and claimed that the skins sounded like a pile of turds compared to some other drum heads that doesnt sound as much turds... But finally we managed to get a really good tone out of them(thank you NASA) so we don't need to use Norwegian style tom-samples when we are mixing the mo-fuckin album.

So it is mainly Tama Starclassic set with
"10, "12, "13, "16 toms and one "22 BD and a Pearl Million dollar "14 snare.
The drum sound is huge i can tell you that! Lots of air and room... PSYCHE!

So after the drum soundcheck we were ready to record BUT before that our drum producer "8ball" Makipaa entered the studio-lair. 8ball is helping Mohkis with some new ideas for the drum beats.

First song that Mohkis nailed was a song titled "MegaNynnyily" that went really smooth with a couple of takes so the fear of the scarry red recording button was not in our presence obviously...great! After "Mega" was done Mohkis played Face On The Nails and that went really smooth too, great succes! After that i recorded some scratch-tracks for Mohkis with my line6 gear and then we ended the day... Everything is set-up now so from now on the recording process should be rolling like a mother-fucking-meatball.


After the crew left we started to really chill out and me and Kride jammed a little bit of old Slayer with our microcubes. Good times! Then at some point i slept a little and the clock is now 2:15AM and we are watching Beavis And Butthead... Wake up call is 10AM for those who have to play. But luckily i played those scratch-tracks earlier so i dont have to wake up! And kride is having some serious gas-problems... Jesus!

CREATING THE DISEASE...

Hello Juhani here!

Just informing you all that we are now in the studio and the recording of our second album starts tomorrow! The album is called THE DISEASE OF ST. VITUS. The name of the album comes from the Finnish poet’s Panu Tuomi’s book called “Pyhän Vituksen tauti". Galzi has translated and arranged the poem book with Tuomi’s kind help and permission. Musically the album is gonna be much more dynamic and rocking than our previous work 'The Grand Karoshi'. The average tempo of the album is something like 150bpm, so it's gonna be slower(read HEAVIER) than Karoshi too...though there are few fast ones of course!

Recording wise we are gonna try to create lots of ROOM for the drumsound and LOTS OF punch for the guitars... Just kranked Mesa Boogies Rectifier+few gadgets with Kride and that's probably our weapon of choice for the guitar sound. But yeah, clock is now 2.40AM and the wake up call is 8AM... So i'm heading to bed now! Lots of reports, pictures and videos coming from the studio, so stay tuned!

Dead Shape Figure on tour

This is the first part of our European tour blog 2009 with Cradle of filth, Moonspell and Turisas.
It`s our fifth day on tour and now we are stuck in the middle of Belarus.

On the first day we had a flight to Heathrow and bus picked us up. We drove to Hamburg and were supposed to play at Markthalle next day.
I woke up on thursday at 12.am and Neissu, Juhani and Mohkis were already gone to see the city, Galzi was still sleeping so i went to see the city by myself. I bought some cheap but superfucking cool and stupid UUNO TURHAPURO looking sunglasses from the local “New Yorker`s”-store, ladies side. I got back to the venue and waited for the load in to start. Trucks from England were really late and the thing started to look very bad for us and then it happened, our first fucking show got cancelled because of the delay.
I was really pissed off and started sippin´ beer, then we loaded out and that was the day number one. Juhani and I went to find something to eat, finding that good ol` McDonalds but it was closed. There was some kind of fire alarm ringing nearby, went to check it out. There was fire and smoke coming out from shops and the windows were fuckin` exploding! Then some guy with hoodie ran out, the police and fire trucks came and we thought it’s better to leave. Anarchy in Hamburg!!

Second day, better feelings and Prague. The venue as far as I was concerned was huge. They said that pre sales were 2000 tickets. Local crew handled all the load in stuff and we just couldn’t wait to get our backline on the stage. Juhani and I checked out our amps, me playing with Mesa Boogie Rectifier `cause Juhani was quicker and got the Marshall jvm, shit! The show was fucking awesome, I didn’t get the right sound out from Mesa but it didn’t matter. I found out that you should play the guitar not punch it! Galzi did stage diving and Spencer, our mixing guy pushed the volume off the limit! Hope everybody had earplugs. Then some beer and hit the road!

A DAY BEFORE JOINING FILTH FEST 2009

A year has passed since we toured the Europe with Chimaira, Maroon and The Sorrow, and now we are back on the road again, full time! Our plane leaves tomorrow from Helsinki to London, and from London our bus will pick us up and then we are off to Hamburg, Germany baby... The feeling is incredible when you can just leave your shitty day job(....yeah, 8 hours every day BIATCH) behind you and just go out there and rock!  We are gonna play 2 brand new songs every night, so be sure to check them out... And every time when there is an internet connection available, we will update the diary for sure!(at least Galzi will, because he's the one who wont be suffering from terrible hungovers...)But hey, see you in Hamburg!

Tour Diary #5: Manchester, UK (08.04.2008)

...it's been a while since we've updated this mothafucka... you might think there'd be enough time to write during the days but goddammit, the time kinda flies, no matter what. Anyway, we've practiced several shows through France and Spain and ended up in England. Here's very short versions from all the past shows for y'all:

In Marseilles we were supposed to do the best show ever 'cause there were lots of folks from Season of Mist checking our show out... but what do you know: we barely managed to do a soundcheck 'cause there were some nice delays here and there. Also the venue forgot to open the freakin' doors and just when we were supposed to start, the first fellows rushed in. also the monitor-engineer dude was nowhere to be found and we played practically the whole set without monitors. Well, the SOM-people understood the situation and told that that wasn't the first nor the last time there were some complications on this venue. Fuck it, the town was very cool and the SOM people were even more cool, very down to earth and the most easy to come along with. We also got the fucking promo CDs with us, a small victory or what!?

Then we hit to Spain, four gigs there, from north to right in the middle and to the border of Portugal. Barcelona gave us a little sweat about the schedules again, we did the soundcheck and the gig right after! Some more sweat after the Barcelona night 'cause our bus broke down again in the middle of the damn deserts on the way to Madrid. We made it to Madrid after some serious Scania-engineering sessions but fucking failed to do the show! The Sorrow did three songs and we only had a chance to do some serious stage-diving there… some of us with better success that the other fat fucks. 

In Vigo we got to do a full set with the strangest stage ever… the stage was three meters high, so no stage diving that night, not too much jumping from the drumset on to the monitors either...

The stress of being the first and doing the soundcheck hit us once again in Irun, where we were doing the check with our stage clothes on and straight after “check one twooo…” “ good evening mothafuckas! We are….”. Very intensive night though, one of the smallest clubs on this tour.

Saarbrucken was probably the best show in Germany so far (one to go still), even the stagediving worked out pretty fucking fine during our set…

Then there was Paris, which was again back to the ground-thing for us... needless to say that the town was fucking something else that Martinlaakso, but the audience understandably held some critics towards an unknown band.they didnt throw anything on the stage though, but took our shit pretty nice.

Next there were seven days in Great fucking Britain… none of us had even visited the freaking bloody country before! It is now the fifth day's night in Manchester and it feels like we're already wanting to revisit! The first show in Norwich was too short, 'cause we were supposed to play only 25 minutes. We did the songs so fucking fast that there were 8 minutes left when we stopped. That's always fucked up if it turns that way... 8 minutes is 8 minutes! Sheffield was kinda tuff to break, or so it seemed, but after the show there were more than enough people to convince us that we were doing fucking great! Believe that! After the show they held a freakin` disco right after..here`s a note to a Finnish disco-scene: play a fucking brit-pop and ska –shit, that`s much nicer to listen that some weak-ass tomorrow has-been wannabe bullshit. Got it?

Glasgow Scotland was another experience. Understanding absolutely nothing about the language we only assumed the things local people wanted. The stage was not that glamorous and we held our bus as a backstage but we get the feeling people were positively surprised of our set. Lesson learned: do not underestimate the power of the cover!

Bristol was another really fucking non-stress free thing, the schedule was pretty fucking tight and we had to drop one song. We got the crowd moving anyway and that was that, then the next band please! There was some boredom in the air at the direction of the crew and some “fuck this”- situations came and passed…Being the opening act has it's advantages: there's no powerstruggles needed at all. You just do the job as well as possible and after that a smoke or boozing or jerking or whatever needed and that's it.

Manchester was another story then... the schedules again, that crew-boredom again... again nothing to do with us but much effecting on us. In the end we got about 15 minutes on stage and still we needed to start the set with chairs and cases on the stage. But gotta say it was one of the best 15 minutes in UK this far! there was just enough space on the stage and the underaged front row was freaking out even during our short-set! Our compassion goes out to Maroon who suffered some serious technical problems and got to play only four songs because of that. There`s the band who should always perform the full set, no exceptions.

Three days to go… stay tuned and patient, mates, specially the last show for the tour might be something else…

Tour Diary #4: San Gottardo, Switzerland (22.03.2008)

Woke up in the middle of the freakin' Alps! The scenery couldn't have been any better for the milkboys from one of the flattest country in the world! The bus died in the morning and we got a chance to spent several hours in these great surroundings. Actually we've now advanced about a kilometer or so from the spot we stopped in the morning. Local bus service dude has located the failure in the saxophone-looking tube that has melted because of the ups and downs of the road, the engine can't have air enough and smokes like a mothafucka.

For sure we can't do a show tonight, it's 4 p.m. and there's four hours drive to Lausanne if there's no solution for this bus thing, but we'll see... fuck that shit.

Tour Diary #3: Pinarella, Italy (21.03.2008)

Damn, socks and underwears are running out. Kride and Ruikku washed theirs yesterday at Ljubljana and forgot them wet in da plastic bags in da bus, now they're kinda back to square one with 'em undawears... Also finally after some serious investigations we managed to find a freakin' shower with warm water. Four days with only cold water fucks a man up, y'know.

The venue called Rock Planet is located in da middle of da tennis courts, mini-golf tracks and hotels which are closed during the winter season, so not too much happening around here. The guy from the only bar that was open told us that the summer season is about start today and in the evening there's gonna be celebrations all over this place. Epäilen...

Yesterday's venue at Ljubljana was the most u.g. place so far. The city was just fuckin' great and the prices were kinda low, no matter what you were going to buy, drink or eat. So if you were thinkin' 'bout travelin' to Slovenia, but never had it done, we'll recommend to do it big time! The venue just around the corner of the center was some sort of Mad Max influenced circus-lookin' community with graffiti walls and suspicious lookin' buildings and statues, just enough shitty to throw a gig in a real punk-rock way! Yeah!

We did only 5 songs and half of the set we played on the floor and not on the stage, 'cause the crowd seemed kinda sleepy when we started. Gotta say it worked once again to do the moshpit by yourself and we enjoyed playing there very fuckin' much! Somebody hit me with my microphone while I was on the floor and I got pretty much blood coming outta my lip. Lesson learned: when the grill of your microphone is bloody after the set, y'know you couldn't have done it any better...

Tour Diary #2: Prague, Czech (16.03.2008)

Greetings from Praha! Just eating some KFC-shit and writing this blog, while everybody else is sightseeing the big city... fuuuuuuck. But yeah, here is some thoughts about the past few days my friends:

12.03, Hamburg, Germany @ Markthalle

The venue was cool as fuck! Kinda like a pit. The show was great and we got a great response from the crowd. After the show, everybody else from DSF crashed into bed, but me and dudes from Chimaira and The Sorrow headed to a local heavy bar. Got pretty wasted there man... phhhh. But I had lots of fun there and the guys from other bands are so cool!

13.03, Aarhus, Denmark @ Train

First thing that I remember from Denmark is the catering. There were like 4 chefs and oh my GOD the food was great! The venue was cool too; a picture of Slash painted to the wall and everything, so... When we started our set, there wasn't so many people yet, but in the end it all looked good so I'm happy with this show too. Although Kride had some mysterious problems with his guitar, so he missed the first song completely, but whatever, shit happens. Denmark rocks!

14.03, Berlin, Germany @ S036

I woke up propably like 9 a.m. already, dunno why... But obviously I was the first guy up and I went and took a walk around the city. It was my first time in Berlin, so obviously I didn't have a clue where I was. I was looking a place to eat, but all the places seemed to be closed. Fuck that. I walked like few hours and after that I noticed that Neissu and Kride was up too, so we went and bought some shit from a local KRÄÄSÄ-store. After the clock was like 2 p.m. we started to load in. After that the usual: soundcheck -> dinner -> the show. The show was great, maybe the best so far! After the show I took the first shower of the tour, nice. No party after the show, just some beer and then we watched some Lihaksia ja Luoteja with Neissu and went to sleep.

15.03, Warsaw, Poland @ Progresja

We woke up pretty early and we were already front of the venue. So we loaded in, and the place was the best place definitely so far! The catering was the best ever, there was like everything for us that we could ever imagine! These are the things that we will never ever see in Finland... And it was the first show were we had some vodka in the backstage. So the local promoter was obviously a nice man.

Tour Diary #1: Hamburg, Germany (12.03.2008)

Mothafucka! Finally we can say it really is fucking happening…first gig in Amsterdam is done and maybe needless to say but we fucking loved it! Guys from the bands are very co-operative and cool and so is the staff. The most unbelievable thing for us was that the audience really started to warm up during our set, so the name “support” (they had only given us that name in the tickes but fuck it) was right on the target.

No matter how fucking numerous gigs a band does in pizzerias and venues near their hometown, being a part of a production this big is something totally different. They give you a certain frame and it`s up to you how well or bad you manage after that. Being on the stage and doing a show is only so very small part of the day it`s almost redicilous. Still that`s the only thing you`re really on tour for.

Must confess the difference between the pros and us, the fucking beginner-punk asses: we gave every fucking inch we had yesterday and felt as broken as after every gig always before. Despite the fact that there`s still 28 gigs to do… the other groups did the thing much more with the stage-appearance and not so much with pure physics which might be the only way to do it on tour without getting fucking broken after a week. But we`ll see how bad our condition can really get, that`s for fucking sure. No fucking surrender. Life kills.

Platta on masteroitu ja ollu valmiina jo kuukauden pari. Julkaisupäivämäärästä ei mitään tietoa, julkaisijasta kylläkin. Huomaa että jätkät on asunut siellä studiolla ja panostus on ollu kovaa, vaikka näistä blogeista saa ulkopuolinen helposti semmoisen kuvan et siel on vaan spedeilty koko aikaa.

Mulla on ainakin kovat odotukset tästä levystä, niin paljon tuli säväreitä itselle vaikka omaa bändiä kuuntelikin.

Nythän on sitten ne meikäläisen proggiksetkin pikkuhiljaa hoidossa. Ukraina-case on periaatteessa lippujen tilaamista vaille valmis, paita-hommat on suunnitteilla ja tilauksessa, levynkannet (toinen versio) tekeillä ja 'Sorsakosken' soolo äänitetään varmaan tän viikon aikana Juhanin kotistudiossa. Vokaaleista & TAPSASTA näin jälkikäteen, sano!

Saatana jääny vähiin tää kirjottelu, kun ei muistanu tota salasanaa et pääsis ineen tähän paskaan. Paskoja nää tietokoneet ylipäänsä, pitäis vaan palata takas kivikaudelle tai rauta-aikaan niin ei tarttis ressaa että mikä se salasana oli tohon BLOGIIN, oltas vaa tyytyväisiä ku tuli tossa taas päivän ruoka hankittua ja että mitähän huomenna söis. Blogi. Lukkeeko tätä ees kukaan? Miks lukis? Miks ei?

Lauluista: Koko vokaalitouhu meni helvetin ripeesti narulle, olin ite varautunu vähintään viiteen suht pitkään työpäivään ja tuplaukset päälle mutta eipä, ekana päivänä kiukuttiin pohjat kaikkiin muihin paitsi muistaakseni 'Perusrässiin' eli Remington Luciferiin ja 'Nuorisotaloon' eli 'Rojektiin' eli The Lesser The Maniin. Mulla menöö aina tunnin verran ennen kun alkaa mitään nauhotuskelposta ulosantia tulemaan eli semmosta tehokasta nauhotusaikaa ekalla kerralla oli varmaan seittemän tuntia, eka tunti meni Gorefestin ja Alice in Chainsin kaa ääntä avatessa. Voin sanoo että kyllä toi seittemän tuntiakin sen verran fyysistä on, että limpparia ja vissyä menee pojjaat aivan toisella viisiin. Järkevästi lähettiin nauhotuksissa liikenteeseen sillä viisiin että vedettiin pari-kolme versioo joka piisistä narulle mahollisimman ripeesti, jätettiin biisi ja mentiin eteenpäin. Ei alkanu missään vaiheessa puuduttaa eikä menny yhden kohdan kanssa painimiseks, tuottaja Sill tha Grillille osaltansa siitä taas iso tänks!

Sitte olikin viikon breikki ja yks keikka välissä ennenkun alettiin taas huutaa studiossa. Nyt oli mikit roudattu snadiin koppiin ja siellä periaatteessa tarkeni helvetin hyvin. Noissa kahessa vikassa biisissä menikin sitte lähes yhtä kauan kun ekan päivän kaikissa biiseissä. Oli vähä muuttunu piisit ja joutu sovittaan uudellensa ja jättään tekstiä veke. Siinähän äkkiä tulee tarinaan aukko, joten joutu parsiin niitä biisien stooreja kasaan sitte ihan primavistana siinä. Ei siinä mitn, kyllä kaks biisiä viel menee studiossa työstämällä mutta turhaa aikaahan se vie. Taas oltiin kuitenki kaheksan tunnin jälkeen aika valmiita kaikin puolin ja ei kun duuniin, kiinnosti vitusti.

Keskiviikkona 20.6. saatiinkin sitten todellinen ammattimies studioon, käytiin hakemassa Erskan kaa Liinojan Tapsa himasta ja tultiin reenaan osiot 'Sorsakoskeen' eli Perinde Ac Cadaveriin kondikseen. Tapsa ei ollu ottanu kauheeta ressiä asiasta etukäteen ja paikan päällä reenattiin sanat ja melodiat kondikseen. Kyllä täytyy sanoo että ammattimieheltä toi käy kohtuullisen nopeesti ja vaikka snadisti tuskailtiin rytmitysten kanssa, tapahtu koko homma mun mielestä helvetin nopeesti: ensimmäisen kerran ikinä kuunneltiin pre-chorukset studiossa ja kolmen tunnin sisään ne oli jo narulla ja vielä oktaavissa kertautuvan melodian kanssa. Soi nimittäin varsin rautasesti Tapsalla toi alarekisteri ja toi soundi sopii tohon biisiin kun isolohko Cadillaciin. Lisäks Tapsa raapas samaan konkurssiin kertsin englanniks messiin ja jumalauta tuli kovaa tavaraa! Helvetin lupsakka sessio oli tämä kyseinen, tää oli niitä juttuja joita voi sitte kertoilla keinutuolista toistakymmenettä kertaa jengille aina. Jes! Isot respektit laitetaan Tapsalle vielä kertaalleen, joka ukko ei nimittäin välttämättä lähde messiin never-heard -hevibändin debyyttikiekolle kuukauden varotusajalla ja vielä kesälomalla! Lukekaa muuten sieltä Metro-lehdestä kolumneja, kerran kuussa löytyy ainakin Liinojaa sieltä, toimii!

Viikon päästä otettiin vielä muutamat paikkailut vokaaleihin meitsin osalta ja Neibu raapi kanssa taustalauluu 'Sorsakoskeen', rupee oleen melodiaa tossa kappaleessa nimittäin... Nyt ei puuttus muuta kun Aron jutut Blitherin Iconista ja sen jälkeen katotaan vielä pitääkö siihen laitella meikäläisen jotain lisää. Jos tuolla studiossa istuis enemmän niin alkais noita ideoita tippuun, mutta musta on pidettävä tiukasti mielessä että levy on kuitenkin enimmäkseen väkivaltasta metallia eikä maailman laajin taidepläjäys ja noi biisit on tarkotus vetää livenäki aika moneen otteeseen, joten noi vokaalit on pidettävä sellasina että ne on toteutettavissa livenäkin suurimmaks osaks. Sellanen viilis on lätystä että siinä biisien rakenteet, riffit ja vokaalit on nyt sellases suhteessa että ne on perusteltuja ja siellä mennään eikä yhrätä. Uskallan väittää että DSF:n livehikoilu välittyy myös lätyltä. Kyllä näin on.

Oli muuten helvetin jees rähinämeininki Hevimestassa eilen, setti jäi vähän lyhyeks mutta pitti oli Hevimestan mittakaavassa vähintäänkin kohtuullinen! Tänks kaikille jotka oli paikalla diggaileen, turpaan tuli! Tota meininkiä ei oo koskaan liikaa!
